This adorable book is a teaching aid that uses  color-coding to highlight the vowel sounds. This systems teaches children in the early reading level how to recognize sounds and words faster. The result will build a young reader’s confidence.

A teacher of foreign language and a reading tutor, Ms Moore brings great expertise while wrapping learning into a great rhyming story.

The story is about how the main character, Aunt Mimi takes her nieces and nephews on a journey to their local amusement park for the entire day.  She takes the young reader on different amusement park rides, while depicting the family in colorful pencil drawings. They are having great fun!

The author, Ms Moore, uses her extensive teaching expertise, to create questions that correspond to each of the pages to further the child’s learning as they are having fun.

This adorable workbook is the first in the series of Aunt Mimi’s Phonics Adventure.

The Author, Mary-Lynette Moore lives near Chicago and has fond memories of the local Kiddie Land (Melrose Park) she herself attended, that is the subject of this book.

Another great book note is that the illustrations of this book were done by the cousins of the author, Katarina Klinke, and Anastasia Klinke who at the time of publishing was 18 and 14 years old respectively.

This book is specifically for ELL and beginning reading students.
